What: A potluck lunch and peer-learning session taking inspiration from Joanna Macy’s writings on Active Hope and the Work that Reconnects
When: 2 – 5pm on the 2nd Saturday of the month
Where: A+E project space, Chapter House, St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh – access via Manor Place
Note: May 10th is scheduled as a walk and June 14th will be offsite – see here.
Cost: Free – donations welcome
In a time of multiple crises and personal hardship it’s good to connect as a community and nourish our capacity for joy, resilience and hope. These sessions are open to anyone actively engaged in the climate and ecological crisis and/or anyone who wishes to become more active. All ages are welcome – under sixteens must be accompanied by an adult.
Usual programme:
14.00 – 14:30: Arrival, share food (potluck lunch) and chat
14:30 – 14:50: Go round & check-in
14.50 – 16.40: Facilitated group process drawing on the Work that Reconnects and Active Hope etc.
16:40 – 16:50: News and updates: What we’re doing in the Great Turning
16:50 – 17:00: Formal closing and dedication
