A+E braids the terms accident and emergency, art and ecology, art and education. Currently resident at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, A+E is tasked with reimagining the Cathedral as an ecological commons for the city. We ask, how might the Cathedral’s buildings and grounds be repurposed in light of the climate and ecological crisis and what might that mean for the Cathedral’s self-identity as a place of regeneration and hope?
A+E is curated by Jonathan Baxter in collaboration with a wide range of partners including the Cathedral congregation, local residents, artists, environmentalists, peer-educators and climate activists.
A+E welcomes collaboration in all forms. To find out more, or to start a conversation, click on the menu (top right) or send Jonathan an email.
